Your MediScan ID profile is stored securely online, not on your phone. If your phone battery is flat, anyone with a compatible smartphone can still scan your wristband and access the information you've chosen to share. You can also log in and update your profile from any device when needed.
What does a first responder actually see when they scan it?

When scanned, your profile displays clear, easy-to-understand information including your medical condition, medications, emergency contacts, and personalised support instructions. It is designed to provide practical guidance quickly, helping people understand what is happening and how best to assist you.
Is my medical data secure?

Yes. Your information is stored on secure Australian-based servers and protected using industry-standard security measures. You control what information is displayed, can update it at any time, and your profile is only accessible when someone scans your wristband.
Do I need to download an app?

No. There is no app required for you or the person helping you. Most modern smartphones can simply tap or scan the wristband to open your profile instantly in a web browser.
What if the person helping me has never seen one before?

That's exactly why MediScan ID was designed the way it is. The wristband clearly displays instructions telling people where to scan. Once scanned, the profile provides simple, human-friendly information and guidance, making it easy for anyone to understand how to help—even if they've never seen an NFC medical ID before.
Can I update my conditions and medications later?

Absolutely. Your medical information isn't permanently locked into the wristband. You can log in at any time to update conditions, medications, emergency contacts, support instructions, and other important details, ensuring your profile stays current as your needs change.
